Last weekend a bunch of us took part in the node knockout, a programming competition where teams of 4 people max. have 48 hours to work on a project of their choice, but using node.js to solve it.
Our idea was to create a simple website for finding a new apartment called four.w4lls. The big, exisiting sites in Germany suck so bad that this seemed like a great opportunity. Our focus was to create a simple and beautiful interface that would make it as easy as possible to find apartments.
While we only ended up implementing about half the things we had planned for (suprise), I think we still created something pretty cool. Even more importantly we had loads of fun during the weekend and learned a few new things about node.js/JavaScript.
If you like our app please vote for us.
